科学素养、媒介使用、社会网络:理解公众对科学家的社会信任Scientific Literacy,Media Use and Social Networks:Understanding Public Trust towards Scientists

摘要(Abstract):
当下中国,"科学"与"民意"不断碰撞。本研究考察公众对科学家群体的信任状况及其影响因素。研究发现,公众科学素养的不同维度,对科学家的总体信任和特定议题(即本文中的转基因议题)上的信任呈现明显差异;对传统媒介中科技资讯的关注程度,对两种信任均有显著的正向影响;科技报道兴趣、社会网络情况,只与总体信任有关;对社会大多数人的一般信任,正向预测了两类信任。本文最后讨论了这些结果包含的理论含义与现实意义。

- 1这两道测试题是:题1:“两个科学家想知道一种治疗高血压的药物是否有效。第一位科学家将药分给1000个高血压病人服用,然后观察有多少个病人的血压有所下降;第二位科学家则将高血压病人分成两组,第一组500人服药,另一组500个病人则不服药,观察这两组病人中血压下降情况如何。请问,第一位和第二位科学家中,哪一位的方法测试药的效果更有效?”被访者回答“第一位”或“不知道”记为错,答“第二位”记为对,全体被访者中该题正确率为83.3%。题2:“医生告诉一对夫妇,由于他们具有相同的病态基因,如果他们生育1个孩子,这个孩子患遗传病的机会为1/4。以下说法,您认为是否正确:a.如果他们生育3个孩子,那么,这3个孩子都不会得遗传病。b.如果他们的第一个孩子有遗传病,那么后面的3个孩子将不会得遗传病。c.如果前面3个孩子都很健康,那么第四个孩子肯定有遗传病。d.他们的孩子都可能得遗传病。”被访者a、b、c3 项回答“正确”和“不知道”记为错,回答“不正确”记为对,d项则相反。经计算,全体被访者中本题答对全部4项的占66.4%,答对3项的占11.7%,答对2项的占8.5%,答对1项的占8.1%,全部答错的仅占5.3%。
